About
Zoë Colfax is a documentary filmmaker whose work explores the power of storytelling to surface overlooked histories and challenge dominant narratives. Raised in New Mexico and trained in theater at New Mexico School for the Arts, she holds a BA from Yale University in African American Studies and Film and Media Studies. She brings a background in improvisation, performance, and social justice advocacy to her nonfiction practice. Her award-winning work includes Blackdom: The Lost Kingdom, a documentary on a forgotten all-Black homesteading town. Zoë is currently a videographer for the Seattle Reign, where she continues to hone her craft.
